BREYES

CRUSH LOAD

Pilot an armoured mech through fifteen minutes of the horde. The guns fire themselves — what you choose is where to walk and what to pick up. Seven zones, seven colossi, twenty-one weapon lines: fit five, evolve them, push one to its apex.

Out now on Android, free on Google Play. The Windows PC version is coming soon to Steam — follow the developer page and Steam will tell you when it launches.

The city is already past saving

Fifteen minutes, then a colossus

The tide of infected thickens with the clock. A run is fifteen minutes, and there is always a colossus at the end of it.

The guns fire themselves

Aiming is the game's job. Every level puts three cards in front of you, and what you take changes how the next five minutes are fought.

Overload

Heat builds in the core. Dump it before it fills and everything around you is thrown back — the one button that tears a hole in a surround.

Twenty-one lines, sixty-three cards

Pick five of twenty-one weapon lines — gatling, chainsaw, flamethrower, missile pod, harpoon and the rest. Fill a weapon's levels and it evolves; meet the gate and one goes on to its apex.

Seven zones, seven colossi

Quarantine Block, the Loading Yard, Runway 3, the Smelting Wharf, Junction 9, the North Relay, The Cathedral. The floor, the sky, the enemies and what walks in at 15:00 all change.

What survives the run

A hangar to spend scrap in, six frames that each start with a different weapon, three threat tiers at two, five and ten times enemy health, daily orders and a codex.
